If You've Said This You're Probably Broke... S1 E18

Let's shoot it straight on this week's episode. I'm finally diving into a topic that I'm PASSIONATE about but is one of those subjects that so many people avoid. MONEY!
And we're going to talk about some of the limiting beliefs and views you've probably had surrounding money.
If you've said money isn't important, you probably don't have any...
You're not going to go for something or work for something that you don't find important!
I've been researching for years about what makes wealthy people different. What habits do they create, where their focus is, and how I can apply that in my own life! And of course, now I'm sharing it all with you!
Honestly, these people THINK differently.
If money is important to you, you'll want to get more of it and your goals and actions will reflect that!
And hear me out Christians... it is ok for you to want Jesus and want money. We have distorted this love of money idea. There is a HUGE difference between idolizing money and wanting money to make an impact. If I was the devil, I would work hard to make you believe that money is wrong!
If you're struggling with money, you're more likely to be losing sleep, fighting with your spouse, and staying stuck in this trap!
One book that has made a world of difference in my money mindset is Secrets of the Millionaire Mind: Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth by T. Harv Eker.

As you're reading this, I want you to have an open mind! He refers to "rich people principles" and "poor people principles". But I don't want you to think of it as "rich" and "poor". I want you to think of it in terms of "growth mindset" vs. "fixed mindset". On page 118 he describes something that hit close to home, "Many poor people actually believe they are better people because they are poor. Somehow they believe that are more pious, or spiritual, or good."
He goes on to tell a story about one of his seminars. He had someone come up to him at an event and ask "How can I feel good about having money when so many have so little." He proceeds to ask "How are you helping poor people by also being poor?" It's a great read and a real eye-opener!
It took some serious time and prayer for me to believe these TRUTHS and my goal is to share them and help you shift your mindset too!
There are SO many good things that money can provide. We often think of the material things related to what money can buy. And that's not what it's all about! There are wealthy people that are funding non-profits, creating companies and providing jobs for others, and pouring back into their communities and churches. There is GOOD in wealth!

At your core belief, do you believe that money is something you will never have? Let's explore that for a minute. What do I mean by explore? I mean sit down and journal. Get out a notebook and write out your feelings about money. What are your hang-ups? What emotions do you have tied to money? Write it all down and let your mind wander about your views on money and put them on paper.
Is your core belief that money is wrong? Do you believe that if you make money your spouse will spend it all? Do you believe that wanting money is selfish? Do you believe that you don't deserve money?
What if your beliefs are flipped and you feel like you are worthy of money and it's your responsibility to gain wealth? Things will change for you! You have to believe it!! If you haven't listened to the episode "Quit Stopping Yourself from Going to the Next Level" I definitely encourage you to check it out to learn more about these upper-level limits.
It's time to sign up for the STUCK to UNSTOPPABLE challenge! It's a 3-day challenge designed to test your limits and retrain your mindset. I can't wait to dive in with you!
Next week, we'll continue this talk and take the taboo out of MONEY!
